Their plans, however, took an unexpected turn when a routine street transaction caught the attention of undercover police officers

The friends, who had known each other since their high school days, decided to purchase marijuana from a trusted acquaintance. With a budget of thirty euros, they arranged for Joan to make the purchase and deliver it to Rafa's home. However, Joan's work commitments prompted an early handover of the cannabis, which led to an unplanned street exchange

Unfortunately for the trio, their transaction was observed by plainclothes officers from the Guardia Urbana. The police intercepted them, confiscating six grams of marijuana and ten euros.
