The Pathum Thani Provincial Court has issued arrest warrants for five individuals involved in a daring robbery of 100 kilograms of cannabis and 800,000 baht in cash. Among those implicated are two police officers, identified by their ranks as Police Lieutenant Colonel and Police Lieutenant, who are now facing charges related to the crime
The incident came to light after a social media post detailed a group of men, some impersonating police officers, conducting a raid on a cannabis shop. The Pathum Thani City Police Chief had initially denied any involvement from local officers. However, further investigation revealed that the suspects included actual police personnel, leading to the issuance of the warrants
The heist, which occurred on February 11, involved four vehicles entering the premises with individuals dressed as police officers presenting a search warrant. This led to suspicions among residents, who later reported the event to authorities. The investigation is ongoing, with police collecting evidence and testimonies to bring those responsible to justice
