Bangkok Named Host City for Inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 Grand Final

Bangkok will make history as the host city of the first-ever Eurovision Song Contest Asia Grand Final, scheduled for 14 November 2026. The announcement, confirmed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), places Thailand at the center of a new chapter for the globally recognized music competition, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of Eurovision. The event is expected to draw significant attention to Thailand's readiness and capability to stage large-scale international gatherings, highlighting the country’s commitment to safety and operational excellence

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, emphasized the strategic importance of hosting such a prestigious event for Thailand’s tourism and creative sectors. "Hosting the first-ever Eurovision Song Contest Asia reflects Thailand’s Value over Volume direction, where global events are leveraged to deliver quality tourism, meaningful experiences and long-term benefits for local communities," she said. The Grand Final will be produced by Voxovation in partnership with the European Broadcasting Union and S2O Productions, and will be broadcast across Asian markets as well as international digital platforms, giving artists from across the region a unique opportunity to showcase their music to a global audience

The contest will include broadcasters and participants from a diverse range of countries including South Korea, the Philippines, Viet Nam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan, with additional partners expected to join. Each nation will select its representative through national competitions, culminating in a single Grand Final where audience votes and professional juries will determine the winner.
