Bhumjaithai MP Korrawee Prisananantakul Files Defamation Suit Against iLaw Director Over Senate Collusion Allegations

Bhumjaithai Party MP for Ang Thong, Korrawee Prisananantakul, has authorized his lawyer to file a defamation complaint against iLaw director Yingcheep Atchanont. The move comes after Yingcheep made allegations linking Korrawee to the ongoing Senate election collusion controversy, claims that Korrawee says have impacted both his personal reputation and the standing of his political party. He emphasized that the accusations contain no new evidence and that he has already responded to the Election Commission (EC) as an accused party, not as a suspect

Korrawee expressed confidence that the EC would handle the investigation fairly and reiterated his readiness to cooperate. "We maintain that we are innocent and have done nothing wrong, but some people have already judged us. We simply ask for fairness. We are ready to cooperate with the EC and have nothing to worry about, but we want the case to be decided based on evidence," he stated. Meanwhile, People's Party list-MP Parit Wacharasindhu revealed that a separate defamation complaint had been filed against him following his scrutiny of the Senate election process. Parit, who remains undeterred, noted that Deputy Prime Minister Songsak Thongsri had assigned legal counsel to handle the complaint in Bueng Kan province. Parit continues to raise questions about the involvement of top officials, presenting information he claims has sparked public concern
