This year's theme, 'Playing With Things,' invites artists to reinterpret everyday market objects into contemporary art that tells stories of Chiang Rai's roots. The region’s rich Lanna culture and diverse ethnic influences come alive through more than 30 installations crafted from local materials by over 40 artists. The event is supported by the Creative Economy Agency, Chiang Rai Municipality, and over 50 local partners, aiming for lasting impact beyond the festival dates.
Visitors can enjoy street art, hidden photo spots, and a revamped local food experience called 'Made In Gad Luang,' designed especially for international guests. Additional highlights include a 'Rod Noi' public truck tour with workshops, market-stage plays, open-air film screenings, a memorial song contest, northern Thai fashion shows, and youth dance competitions.
