The arrested individual, identified as Mr. Sophonwit (surname withheld), faces charges under the Protection and Promotion of Thai Traditional Medicine Wisdom Act, B.E. 2542. Police allege that he violated Section 46 of the Act by selling or processing a controlled herbal substance—cannabis flower—without the necessary permits.
